Will Butler, Arcade Fire multi-instrumentalist and brother of frontman Win Butler, will be returning to his alma mater, Illinois’ Northwestern University, on November 2 as the keynote speaker for Civically Engaged Young Alumni Week, sponsored by the Center for Civic Engagement.

According to student website North by Northwestern, Butler, who graduated in 2005, will “talk about blending his music career with social activism,” referencing the band’s work with multiple charities to raise money for Haitian disaster relief. An organizer says it’s “‘possible’ that Butler might treat students to an impromptu performance,” but nothing is planned.
