The Black Keys Cancel Tour Dates

The Black Keys have cancelled a series of tour dates saying that they are too "drained" to play.

The Grammy-nominated duo announced cancellation of a New Zealand and Australian tour, as well as some European tour dates in March. This includes all appearances at the Austrailia's Big Day Out touring festival, which has sold out shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and the Gold Coast.

According to theblackkeys.com, "An arduous year of touring and promotion has drained the band and necessitated time off. Dan and Patrick wish to thank all of you who have shown such incredible support since the release of Brothers and have helped make the album a success."

This clears the band's schedule except for a few dates in the U.S. before Coachella 2011, April 15-17, where The Black Keys are a main act.
