2010 was a pretty quiet year for Boris, and since "quiet" doesn't exactly suit them so well, they're releasing three new albums this spring. First is the Japan-only New Album, due on March 16 from Tearbridge/Daymare. That one isn't scheduled for a U.S. release yet, but you can listen to its fuzzed-up electro opener "Party Boy" here.
A different version of "Party Boy" is the first track on Attention Please, out in the U.S. on April 26, via Sargent House. This LP will be the band's first to feature guitarist Wata on lead vocals for a whole album.
Finally, April 26 will also see the U.S. release of Heavy Rocks. It shares its title with their awesome 2002 album because Boris "seeks to redefine 'heavy' music in a culmination of [their] tireless efforts over the past two decades." It also has the same art as the first Heavy Rocks, with purple rather than orange. So while it may confuse casual or new fans and the occasional record collection, it's pretty much destined to kick ass.
