Braid To Reunite For New Record
A.V. Club Chicago reports that the members of Braid will come together next month “to record a new 12-inch.” The essential Midwestern indie/emo group will be working with J. Robbins, who produced their third and final LP, 1998’s Frame and Canvas. The record is expected to be out this year on Polyvinyl, and will be the first new songs they’ve released since 1999’s Please Drive Faster single.
Singer and guitarist Bob Nanna told A.V., “We thought it would be fun.” He also said they’re not planning on touring with the new record, so those who missed Braid’s 2004 reunion tour are out of luck this time around. Polyvinyl will officially announce the release tomorrow.
