For the fine people of Pittsburgh, PA, December 7 will now be known as Gregg Gillis Day, thanks to a freshly passed resolution sponsored by city councilman William Peduto. According to a picture Tweeted by Gillis, a mild-mannered Pittsburgh native by day and the copyright crushing DJ Girl Talk by night, the council has honored him in recognition of his “innovative and creative talents,” in addition to his continued support for his hometown. Gillis played two sold out shows this past weekend at the city’s brand new Stage AE amphitheatre.
