Kanye West Drops New G.O.O.D. Friday Track and Reveals 'Banned' Album Cover

Kanye West’s weekly G.O.O.D. Friday singles have been coming strong for almost two months now, and on October 15 he dropped “Take One For The Team,” featuring G.O.O.D. regulars Pusha T and CyHi Da Prynce. Keri Hilson is on it, too, with such a small part that I actually didn’t even notice her the first time I listened.

Like most of the other tracks so far, it’s a long one at just over six minutes, but it’s more minimal than the rest. This adds to the eeriness of the “Halloween” theme-esque piano motif that winds through the thumping beatboxing and the circus keys that stretch out the back half. The lyrics aren’t especially extraordinary, but Pusha T and newcomer CyHi are both strong rappers that compliment West’s wild sensibility.

You can listen to “Take One For The Team” below, and you can download it from West’s website.

In other Kanye news, the man announced a few weeks ago that his new record would now be called My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Yesterday afternoon, he revealed its graphic-ish album art via his Twitter:

In the post, he claims the George Condo-painted cover has been “Banned in the USA!!!” and then goes on to share a few more about creativity and nudity on album covers, citing both Nirvana and "the 70s."

Internet reaction has been mixed so far, with comments on the post ranging from “Kanye you can’t be serious” to “Kanye you’re a genius.” So all in all, business as usual for Mr. West. Fantasy is set to drop November 22.
