Way back in January, we told you that seminal 90s group and indie legends Braid would be getting together to write and record a new EP. Over half a year later, we have Closer to Closed, the Illinois quartet's first new songs since their 1998 LP Frame and Canvas. Like that album, Closer to Closed was made with J. Robbins at the helm. On it you'll find one song with Chris Broach on lead vocal and three with Bob Nanna, one of which, "You are the Reason", is a Jeff Hanson cover. Polyvinyl is handling the release, and the record will hit shelves August 16 on CD and 12" EP. Head over to A.V.
