A holiday release from Swedish group jj had been announced by Sincerely Yours on December 17, and those rumors came to fruition on Christmas Eve in the form of Kills. Finally, Gorillaz had been treating fans to small presents in their online advent calendar all month, and the final gift was, as promised, The Fall, Damon Albarn and co.’s “iPad album.” The Fall was recorded on the road over one month during Gorillaz’s U.S. tour this past autumn. Only official fanclub members can download it right now, but it can be streamed in exchange for a name and email address. The Christmas Eve “gift” was a collage video for the album’s opening track, “Phoner to Arizona”, and you can watch it below.
