Mogwai announced today that their seventh album will be called Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will and it will hit shelves in Europe on February 14, 2011 on Rock Action Records. U.S. stores will have it on February 15 courtesy of Sub Pop, who they signed with last month. The Scottish quintet recorded it over the summer with Paul Savage, who worked with them on their acclaimed 1997 debut, Mogwai Young Team.
A “Limited Edition version” of Hardcore will include a bonus CD with a 26-minute piece called “The Singing Moutain” originally recorded for a German art installation by Douglas Gordon and Olaf Nicolai, Monument for Forgotten Future.
Check out the track list and three-months’ worth of international tour dates here.
