NPR Music has the premiere of the first Wild Flag single, "Glass Tambourine". It's our first listen to a proper recording from the veritable rock supergroup that includes Mary Timony, Carrie Brownstein, Janet Weiss, and Rebecca Cole, and you can click here to listen to it. Brownstein told NPR, "'Glass Tambourine' is a song that exemplifies a lot of why I love being in Wild Flag. It starts off as a warped pop song and then veers into something more psychedelic. There are melodies, harmonies and then a fair amount of chaos."

"Glass Tambourine" and another song called "Future Crimes" will each be featured on an upcoming 7", due out on Record Store Day, April 16. Both tracks were produced by Spoon's Britt Daniel and will be re-recorded with producer Chris Woodhouse for Wild Flag's debut LP, which should hit stores in the fall.

Wild Flag kicked off a tour over the weekend in Brooklyn and Philadelphia, and among the upcoming shows are two nights with Superchunk and Bright Eyes at Radio City Music Hall and and two gigs a day for four days straight during South by Southwest. Check out all the dates below.
