PJ Harvey Wins the Mercury Prize

PJ Harvey's latest album, Let England Shake, has won the 2011 Barclaycard Mercury Prize. The award is presented to the best British album of the year, as voted on by a panel music industry reps, and it's not the first time she's taken it home: her acclaimed fifth album Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea won decade ago. Let England Shake beat out several other high-profile releases, including Adele's 21, Metronomy's The English Riviera, and the self-titled debuts by friends of Noisevox James Blake and Anna Calvi. Congratulations to Ms. Harvey. Enjoy the video for "The Words That Maketh Murder" below.
