Don Giovanni Records has announced that it will reissue vinyl editions of the first two Screaming Females albums, 2006's Baby Teeth and 2007's What if Someone is Watching Their T.V.?, on October 4. The stellar early recordings of the New Brunswick, NJ-based trio were originally self-released, and the LPs went out of print a while back. Demand to hear them has definitely risen, though, since the release of last year's breakthrough Castle Talk (one of my favorites of 2010), and their supporting spot on tours with Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Arctic Monkeys, and Against Me! made it widely known how hard they rule. A limited number of people who pre-order both Baby Teeth and T.V. will receive a free live Screaming Females 7". Watch their blog for more info on that.
Along with the re-releases, the band has announced a full U.S. tour; they'll be kicking it off in D.C. just two weeks after returning home from Europe. The full dates are below, along with What if Someone is Watching Their T.V.?'s raging closing track, "Boyfriend".
