A handful of hotly anticipated albums are streaming for free online right now, some out later this month, and a few that you can find on shelves this week. NPR Music highlights two English singers this week, Adele and PJ Harvey. Adele’s sophomore album 21 is due February 22 in the U.S., and you can listen to that here. Let England Shake is PJ Harvey’s most political and perhaps most focused work of her twenty year career. Click here to listen to it before it arrives in stores on February 15.
Spinner is offering up quite a few new albums this week, including Tao of the Dead (Richter Scale), the newest LP from progressive Austin quartet …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, and Aussie dance-rockers Cut Copy’s Zonoscope (Modular), both of which are out tomorrow in the U.S. Spinner is also streaming the self-titled debut album of La Sera, the solo project from Vivian Girls’ “Kickball” Katy Goodman. La Sera drops next Tuesday, February 15, care of Hardly Art.
Last Thursday, The Guardian’s music site posted the purported final album from The Streets, Computers and Blues, and it’s still streaming here. Complimentary rapper-heavy mixtape Cyberspace and Reds is also available to hear online, though a few roadblocks stand in your way if you want to download it. Computers and Blues (Atlantic) was released in the U.K. today.
Finally, Urban Outfitters is now in the music game, and is streaming Toro Y Moi’s second album, Underneath the Pine. It’s out February 22 via Carpark, and you can listen to it here.
