For the final two weeks of the year, we're remembering some of our favorite Face Time conversations of the year -- the ones that you lot watched the most, and the ones that we just plain loved. This one fits the bill on both counts: a rare [oh what the hell, let's fly this joke one more time] "joint" interview with two folks who give indie pop/rock a good name, and who just happen to be a couple, Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, and Wavves' Nathan Williams.
We caught up with the pair early in the year, as we were still in the throes of ice and sludge, and these two brought some So Cal warmth our way with the "Summer is Forever" tour. Since that time, both Wavves and Best Coast have made more strides toward the big time, with Beth shooting a video with Drew Barrymore at the helm, and Nathan landing an MTV soundtrack gig, and attending the VMA's (complete with some band mate drama). The two each have two eagerly anticipated records on the way in 2012.
So check it out--lots of talk about living together, reality TV, Snacks, drugs and how one of America's most likeable pairs got together in the first place. On Face Time Favorites 2011: Best Coast and Wavves.
