It's been a long, long stretch since the last full-length album from the men of Animal Collective. Closing in on three and a half years, if you're counting. Of course, in that stretch there's been the Fall Be Kind EP, ODDSAC, Transverse Temporal Gyrus, and albums from Avey Tare and Panda Bear.

Still, these Sunday-night-released new tunes, "Honeycomb" and "Gotham"--something of a throwback sound for the bros, and vocally an all-Dave affair, would seem to point to something larger in the very near future. And that can only be a good thing.
