"Come to daddy" might be the subtitle of "Hood", the latest from Seattle's Mike Hadreas, aka Perfume Genius, and the first music video from his upcoming second album, Put Your Back N 2 It. We'll leave that album title alone for now, because there's plenty to talk about here. In a clip directed by Winston Case, Hadreas is, um, cared for,  by none other than Arpad Miklos, renowned porn star and a bear among bears.

Mike is held, caressed his hair is brushed, and some dress-up action channels, among others, Janet Jackson and Freddie Krueger. Hadreas explained to Pitchfork.tv that "The song's about how if someone knew you 100%, they would go away, so, in the video, I didn't acknowledge him until I was fully done-up in all my gear and my wig. That's how I feel in general. That freaky shit underneath-- that's kind of who I am, really." Fair enough. Freaky shit is OK by us.

PG's new album is said to be more lush, less stark and confessional that his debut. It's due out February 21st, so while we look forward to that, we enjoy Arpad and Michael's folie à deux, our NV Music Video of the Day: "Hood" from Perfume Genius.
