Surely Bobb Bruno and Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast must be on the LA Chamber of Commerce payroll at this point. If not, Villaraigosa needs to make that happen. Not since Randy Newman has someone loved LA harder--from the frickin' band name, to the bear holding the state on the cover of their latest, to that album title The Only Place, to the song's hook line "why would you live anywhere else?" to, now, its accompanying music video.

Like the checklist in the lyrics, the clip has it all: pool, tropical drinks, surf board, sun, sand, shades and convertible. Of all the people we know in LA, only maybe two have convertibles. And yet they're ubiquitous in So Cal music videos. Funny that.
