When last we left DIIV's  Zachary Cole Smith, he had just made a right mess of things by setting off a roman candle in a blender, nearly setting a house on fire. That was in the video for "How Long Have You Known?", the lead single from the band's debut Oshin

What does he do for an encore, in the new "Doused"?  Well, he manages not to blow up anything, but he's apparently got an intense fixation on toy soldiers (cue Martika) and toy planes, a hobby so preoccupying that our hero is about to miss his gig at 285 Kent, Brooklyn's premier venue these days for the young and DIY. Way late, Smith decides foot power is the fastest option, and proceeds to sprint his way through the streets of Williamsburg, where his mates Andrew Bailey, Devin Ruben Perez and Colby Hewitt are already wailing away.

It's hardly spoiling it to tell you that our man makes his cue and is on stage just in time bob and weave on his swirly, sparkling guitar line that makes "Doused" maybe the single biggest fan favorite of the whole LP.

It's certainly our favorite right now. In fact it's out NV Music Video of the Day: "Doused" frtom DIIV.
