Brian Borcherdt's debut with Leon Taheny as Dusted, Total Dust, is as gentle, fuzzy, and easily digested as the output of his day job with Graham Walsh,  Holy Fuck, can be jagged ad frenetic. Both have their charms, but a contrast, to be sure.

So for the first music video from Dusted, directors Aaron Kopff and Paul Gerretsen aplty upped the blur. We get wobbly, fleeting images of cloudy skies, shadows, silhouettes, profiles, including that of Borcherdt at the mic. Of the experience, Borcherdt said, "Here's a video of us playing on a rooftop next to our favourite tequila bar, on a hot Toronto evening.  I think this accurately demonstrates my C+ ability at lip syncing and my A+ ability at making sunglasses suddenly disappear and reappear on my face."

Hey that's cool. It's not like we're the continuity police. All we know is it's good, off-kilter fun. Dusted will head out with the superb Perfume Genius in the fall. In the meantime, our NV Music Video of the Day is

    "(Into the) Atmosphere" from Dusted.
