You folks are in for a treat a few days from now, with the release of Frankie Rose's Interstellar, the latest offering from the woman the already-packed CV, who's taken a distinct sonic turn this time around, away from the jangle/reverb/garage/girl group throwback that's stuck to her glue thanks to the Vivians/Dum Dums/Outs stints.
Rose has well, blossomed, with a shiny new, sweet and expansive sound--quite possibly her strongest stuff to date, but we'll let you be the judge of that. Here's one of the album's true sparklers, "Gospel/Grace". Actually make that, twinklers, as in the stars that are all over this Hannah Lew directed video. While the clip's black and white, the song bursts with colour and life. Why, Slumberland wouldn't have it any other way.
Make a note to discover Frankie Rose's Interstellar, and in the meantime, enjoy our NV Music Video of the Day: "Gospel/Grace".
