Phil Elverum's had an especially productive 2012, with two albums from his perpetually exploratory Mount Eerie: Clear Moon, released in the spring, and this week'sOcean Roar, whose sumptuous, cymbal-riding, heavenly-voiced title track now has a video that we'd say matches it pretty perfectly.

Pastoral is pretty much a given from Anacortes, WA's Elverum, and we get that in spades, with evergreens swaying in the breeze, verdant and icy hillsides, clouds, a dewy fog to match the music and rolling seas to match the title. Perhaps less expected though, are the ghostly faces that emerge, notably a blue-eyed lass.

End of summer, early fall? We'll bask in this one for two and a half minutes, and suggest you do the same. Our NV Music Video of the Day is "Ocean Roar" from Mount Eerie.
