The weekend is here, and let's hope it's one filled with a little less rancor and tension than we saw in the past seven days. Pop's most polarizing chanteuse drew tons of fire for a not-read-for-late-night SNL performance; the Golden Globes featured a sidebar catfight between on the one hand Elton John and his man, and on the other, Best Song winner Madonna; and on Wednesday it was just about anyone who ever used the web (outside of the MPAA, RIAA et al) vs. Congress, or at least those in Congress spearheading the internet clampdown bills known as SOPA and PIPA.
We cover all that brouhaha on this week's Wrap, but happy news too, like The National's role in one of the world's most respected music fests, new music from Odd Future, Lower Dens, and the Grizzly Bear camp, and a new batch of artists announced for SXSW. Rachel's got all the news you need from the week gone by, on The Weekly Wrap.
