Fresh off their long-awaited four-day stint in Central Park, reunited indie-rock legends Pavement will share the Hollywood Bowl stage with the similarly legendary Sonic Youth. In the years since Pavement’s 1999 break-up, the groups have come to share a member in Mark Ibold, who joined Sonic Youth for their Rather Ripped tour, then recorded 2009’s The Eternal. Pavement’s reunion tour, which began March 1 in New Zealand, has been well-received by fans and critics, but there’s been no word of any new material from the quintet. Opening the show is LA’s own fuzzed-out punks No Age, whose new album, Everything in Between, is out September 28 on Sub Pop.
