If you’ve missed seeing LCD Soundsystem’s stellar live show over the years, you’ll have one last chance on April 2, when James Murphy and his accomplices play their final gig at Madison Square Garden. According to a message on the band’s website, though, it’s going to be a pretty great party. “For just one more night, we will be playing with friends and family for nearly 3 hours – playing stuff we’ve never played before and going out with a bang.” The statement notes that NYC dance-rock legends Liquid Liquid will be opening the night, and also requests that all attendees wear black, white, or white and black. Murphy had said before the release of third album This Is Happening that it would be their last.
General onsale tickets will be available Friday, February 11 via Ticketmaster and Bowery Presents; details about a “fan pre-sale” will be revealed tomorrow, February 8 on lcdsoundsystem.com and Pitchfork.
