Lenses Alien, the second album of sparkling, clattering indie rock from Staten Island’s Cymbals Eat Guitars, came out in August, but the fellas, ahem, kept us waiting a while for this first music video, for “Keep Me Waiting”. Maybe all the waiting got inside the head of director Adam Kurland and the folks at Ghost Robots who concocted this little thriller, cuz God knows the clip’s got pent-up aggression to spare.

Jacking cars? Check. Mayhem with baseball bats? You betcha. Firecrackers? Uh huh. And yet, our teen protagonists rowdy rampage seems mostly harmless. Until you get masked the home invasion. And the assault. And the avenging Volvo. It all ends in some sort of nighttime transcendence though….so, I guess we’re OK with that.
