One look at the oeuvre of filmmaker Alexandre Courtes will tell you that subtlety and understatement, it's not really his thing. Courtes' 2011 prison gore-thriller The Incident, for some reason over looked for the year-end filmic accolades, is proof enough.

Put simply, we are floating in space: ladies (several, mostly naked, one apparently mid-autopsy) 

men (Xavier and Gaspard) 

skulls and bones, swords, coins, Mayan temples, the Justice ✞, a diamond, sides of animal meat and legs legs legs legs. So yeah, a cascade of stuff, eye candy for the slightly twisted among you, and that qualifies as our NV
