It was on a Sunday night in May, you'll recall, that Animal Collective announced the September release of the follow-up to Merriweather Post Pavilion - Centipede Hz. 

This Sunday night, it was the first taste of the album that premiered on Animal Collective Radio - a new weekly online radio transmission fashioned by the fellas in conjunction with The Creators Project. "Today's Supernatural" is the name of it, it features a driving, jittery track and Avey Tare in wild 'n screamy mode, Baltimore gets a shout-out and it only serves to stoke the fires of anticipation for the album's September 4th release. That's the point of course, and it works. Pretty thrilling stuff.
