Billy Corgan’s The Smashing Pumpkins have released a third single from their new EP Teargarden by Kaleidyscope Vol. II: The Solstice Bare, which hit shelves today in CD and 12” picture disc forms. You can listen to “Tom Tom” on their Myspace, and, starting tomorrow, download it from the Pumpkins’ website, along with first two singles “Freak” and “Spangled”. The four Vol. II songs, along with the first set, Songs for a Sailor, are part of the band’s 44-song Teargarden by Kaleidyscope project. Extravagant in both name and scope, it will see the band releasing songs online one-by-one, and putting out eleven limited edition EPs along the way.
The Smashing Pumpkins are wrapping up a set of South American dates this week, which included a co-headlining gig with Pavement in Brazil that incited some probably unnecessary but totally nostalgic beefing. They’ll be stateside again in December for some shows across the Southwest and into California. Check the list of dates below.
